Sommernatt i hagen - 2 colour variations

Hand-made, original linocut print, inspired by the Norwegian traditional art of "rosemaling".

The translated title is "Summer night in the garden"

This is a three-layer reduction linocut print, meaning that I cut the linoleum block three separate times to print the three layers over one another, allowing at least a week of drying time between each printing.

For this particular print, I printed two different colour variations for the second layer: a deep teal blue and a deep magenta. Make sure you pick which version you'd like!

This is a one-off variable edition of 14 prints. It is called a "variable edition" because prints 1 to 8 of 14 have the blue layer, and prints 9-14 have the magenta layer.

The common colours are a light green and the dark colour is a near-black, very deep blue.

Size, Paper, Ink:
The paper is 30x30 cm , or 11.8x11.8 inches in size and the printed image is 20x20cm or 7,8x7,8 inches.

Paper type: Somerset Book 115g in Soft White . This paper is slightly cream in colour and has a wonderful subtle texture.

Made with high quality oil-based ink: Caglio safewash relief inks.
